Project Overview

Update 5/29/20 - work will continue at the Jolly gas station. The contractor will be installing conduit for street lighting and installing light pole bases in the center island between the gas station entrances. The concrete contractor will be installing concrete sidewalk from Bombardier Road working South towards Boysenberry Drive.

Update 1/21/20 - Update 1/21/20 - Work continues on the gabion basket retaining wall installation area between Merrill Lane and Haydenberry Drive. The contractor will continue installing granular borrow fill material and backfilling the embankment. The contractor will also install a new concrete manhole adjacent to the guardrail on Rte. 7.

Update 1/2/20 - Work continues on the gabion basket retaining wall installation area between Merrill Lane and Haydenberry Drive.

Update 12/23/19 - The contractor has installed all of the gabion baskets, and is now backfilling the wall to the new finish grade. The contractor may stop traffic periodically to accept material delivery, but long term lane closures are not planned. The contractor will perform tree clearing and install erosion prevention and sediment control devices in the ravine across from Bombardier Rd.

Update 12/16/19 - Work will continue on the gabion basket retaining wall installation between Marty’s Auto and Boysenberry Drive. The contractor may stop traffic periodically to accept material delivery, but long term lane closures are not planned. The retaining wall is 98% complete and the contractor is now hauling in granular fill to backfill the wall and prepare the subbase for the future sidewalk. The contractor started to perform layout and planning for the construction of the second retaining wall in the ravine across from Bombardier Rd. Work on that wall will begin late this week.

Update 12/2/19 - Contractor mobilized equipment week of November 25th. Work on Gabion Baskets will begin Tuesday December 3rd. Sidewalk and Landscaping work will begin in the Spring of 2020.
