4/27/20 - The poles and mast arms were delivered today. Contractor will have a crew working this week on the installation of the signal equipment. Traffic will be maintained two lanes of traffic during this work, except when the two mast arms that span out over Route 7 are being installed. Traffic will be stopped for approximately 8 minutes during the arm installation.
10/14/19 - The waterline installation, new hydrant, new sewer line has been installed. Vermont gas has stubbed a new line to the property outside the project limits. The conduit and conduit sleeves have been installed. The concrete bases for the signal poles have also been installed. Ongoing sidewalk and curbs are being poured. Contractor is starting to gravel the subbase for the road widening.
9/19/19 - Construction is currently on hold as the contractor is waiting for anchor bolts for the mast traffic arms so the foundations can be poured. The foundations need to be installed prior to the curb and sidewalk being completed as the foundation extends below both the curb and sidewalk. The contractor expects to resume work next week 9/29/19 where traffic will remain two ways and cause little to no disruptions.
8/19/19 - The following activities will be performed by the contractor: remove and replace the existing hydrant, CWD has been notified. Please note that this hydrant will be out of service until the required testing is complete. The hydrant will be bagged. Contractor will continue with the subbase installation for the road widening and new sidewalk across from the trailer park. The contractor will begin fine grading for the new sidewalk to be installed the week of 8/26/19. The contractor will install the sleeve on the trailer park side of the intersection.
8/12/19 - Core and boot the existing sanitary sewer manhole and extend the sewer out beyond the roadway improvements. Continue with the sub base installation for the road widening and new sidewalk south of the proposed intersection. This may impact driveway #414, but access will be maintained. Contractor will be conducting a wet tap on the CWD main and extend waterline out beyond roadway improvements. Contractor also is planning to install the new hydrant to its new location.
