Milton Rescue provides training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). ASHI provides training materials and instructor accreditation at a fraction of a cost compared to the American Heart Association (AHA) while still maintaining the rigorous standards adopted by the AHA. Although the training is identical to ASHI, some organizations require AHA classes. In these situations we recommend contacting Colchester Rescue for more information.
Milton Rescue teaches periodic public CPR and AED classes. Please visit the Recreation and Parks catalog to view and signup for these sessions.
A online, hybrid CPR class option is offered through ASHI and Milton Rescue. This blended class includes online instruction to replace the traditional classroom time. After completing the online portion of the course students make a 15 minute appointment to visit the rescue station and demonstrate their skills for a licensed instructor. For more information or to registered for a blended class please visit the Form Center.
Occasionally we can accommodate classes for community groups looking to become certified, or recertified, in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You may email firstname.lastname@example.org with your specific request. Please know, our instructors are also full-time employees of the town and their first priority will always be responding to emergencies and ensuring daily ambulance operations needs are met. It may take a significant time period to respond to your request and find appropriate instruction. In addition, priority for limited space in private classes will be given to other town or Milton Town School District departments in support of their missions. If this timeline is does not work for you please consider a blended, online-hybrid class discussed above or sign up for a public class by visiting the Parks and Recreation schedule.
