Welcome to the Milton Police Department
The Milton Police Department is a community oriented, full-service Police Department located on the northern edge of Chittenden County in the State of Vermont, the largest metropolitan area in the State. The Milton Police Department and its members strive for excellence through our interaction with the public. The Milton Police Department is dedicated to community policing, a model of policing which encourages cooperation between members of the Community and the Police Department to solve and prevent criminal activity.
Service Area
The Town of Milton is the 8th largest community in Vermont with a residential population of approximately 12,000 people. The Milton Police Department covers an area of approximately 60.9 square miles. Services are also provided to the numerous commercial and industrial customers located within our borders, as well as to daily visitors to our Town.
Staff
The Milton Police Department is comprised of 17 full time certified Police Officers and two part time officers. The Milton Police Department has a K9 program, two Detectives and one School Resource Officer.
